Nutrition Through the Ages: What to Eat in Your 40s, 50s, and Beyond

How can this event help me?

As we age, our bodies undergo gradual but important changes that affect how we absorb nutrients, how efficiently we burn energy, and what we need to stay strong, active, and well. From hormonal shifts and slower metabolism to changes in bone density, muscle mass, and digestion, nutrition plays a key role in how we feel and function over time. Knowing what to eat—and why—can make a real difference in maintaining long-term health and managing chronic conditions.

Join Dietitian Monica Kubizniak for a practical session exploring how to adapt your eating habits to support healthy ageing. Whether you’re navigating hormonal changes, dealing with joint pain, or simply want to feel stronger and more energised, this session will offer tailored advice for every decade.

Join Monica for an insightful discussion where she’ll cover:

  • How nutrient needs evolve with age: Explore how shifts in hormones, muscle, bone, and digestion affect your protein, calcium, fibre, and iron needs from midlife onwards.

  • What to focus on in your 40s and 50s: Learn how to adjust your diet to support joints, heart health, and metabolism, with practical food tips tailored to this life stage.

  • Eating well into your 60s and beyond: Discover nutrition strategies to maintain energy, support brain health, manage appetite changes, and strengthen immunity as you age.
