Dr Suman Toor is a consultant rheumatologist with a broad clinical background in inflammatory, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal disease. Her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, connective tissue diseases, and gout.
Originally from Canada, she completed her medical training at Monash University before undertaking advanced rheumatology training across Monash Health and Austin Health in Melbourne. She subsequently completed her advanced training and a clinical research fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London, one of the UK’s leading centres for rheumatology. There she developed specialist expertise in complex inflammatory arthritis and musculoskeletal ultrasound, while undertaking dedicated clinical trial research in the field.
Suman’s training across Australian public hospitals and a leading NHS rheumatology centre in London has given her a broad and genuinely international perspective on rheumatological care. She brings this experience to a practice grounded in evidence-based medicine and a strong belief in keeping patients well-informed and central to decisions about their own care. She particularly values the long-term relationships that come with managing chronic rheumatic disease and is committed to ensuring her patients feel genuinely supported at every stage of their care.
Dr Toor works as an independent practitioner consulting at BJC Health.
We have locations in Chatswood and Parramatta. Practitioner availability varies by location.

The amount of information out there can make it harder, not easier, to take that first step with confidence. Exercise Physiologists Sarah Comensoli and Kayleen Falconer have designed this session to cut through the noise and give you practical, reassuring guidance to get started safely and on your own terms.
In this session, you will learn:
