About Timothy Lee

Tim is an experienced physiotherapist specialising in Rheumatology and chronic disease. With a degree from Sydney University and 10 years of dedicated service at BJC Health, he has honed his knowledge to help you feel better and regain control of your life.

By working closely alongside the Rheumatologists on helping a variety of patients, Tim has developed a deep understanding of rheumatic diseases. To take his knowledge further he completed a post-graduate diploma in Rheumatology in 2023. Tim’s expertise and experience spans a wide range of inflammatory conditions including Ankylosing Spondylitis, Spondyloarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and more. He knows that each condition is unique, and his personalised approach to care ensures you receive the treatment that suits your specific needs.

One of Tim's special interests lies in tendon-related issues such as gluteal tendinopathy, achilles tendinopathy and Plantar Fasciitis. He has invested time in ongoing training courses in this field and he is intrigued by the interplay between inflammatory conditions and mechanical tendon injuries. He also enjoys working with those with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) and Spondyloarthritis in helping them measure, monitor and manage their spinal pain and stiffness through exercise in conjunction with the medical management implemented by the treating Rheumatologist.

Beyond his professional expertise, Tim lives an active lifestyle himself regularly running and attending the gym. He's no stranger to overcoming injuries, having recovered from major knee surgery, multiple ankle sprains, achilles tendinopathy and lower back pain to name a few. His personal experiences have given him appreciation of the challenges of injury and equipped him with valuable strategies to assist you on your journey to recovery.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys hunting for the best burgers, watching Basketball and Rugby League, tending to his indoor plants, and going for walks outdoors.
