Last year, we spoke to many of you about what you wanted to see changed in the Exercise Physiology (EP) roster at BJC Health. Many of you said that you wanted to see a more flexible roster of group exercise session types to suit a variety of different fitness levels and health requirements.

Please note: Our group exercise sessions are for our existing exercise physiology customers.  If you'd like to join one of our sessions please make an initial appointment with one of our exercise physiologists for an assessment.

Team EP takes great pride in creating a group atmosphere that is friendly, supportive and promotes constant progression toward your goal. As such, we are introducing our new Move Easy and Move Fast sessions, in addition to our foundation Move Strong session.

Move Easy

Intensity: Low
Duration: 30 minutes
Capacity: 5 people

Our ultimate aim in these sessions is to improve your mobility. Specific breathing and movement drills will be combined with static and dynamic stretches to improve your mobility and ability to move freely in your chosen activities.

Move Strong

Intensity: Medium-to-high
Duration: 60 minutes
Capacity: 10 people (2 EP's)

Move Strong is our foundation class and is aimed at improving your functional capacity for everyday life. A session will include a variety of different movements using free weights, cable/suspension-based equipment and floor work helping improve your performance and building a strong, stable and symmetrical body.

Move Fast

Intensity: High
Duration: 30 minutes
Capacity: 5 people

Move Fast will push your limits and have you feeling ready to take on the world! A session will include HIIT and circuits full of explosive movements with some large loaded compound movements thrown in for good measure. All participants will be required to wear a Heart Rate monitor so your EP can keep you safe as well as provide you with a way to compete with yourself and the rest of the group!
